Book Editor

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with team members to develop and proofread quality learning materials
- Conceptualise new content ideas and liaise with authors and other stakeholders in the production of Encyclopedia books
- Work with designers and/or the marketing team in the design and deliver relevant collateral materials
- Keep abreast with market information such as competitors’ activities and developments in the STEM book sector.
- Identify potential issues and actively seek/adjust resolutions to ensure timely delivery of projects assigned.
- Source for potential authors; Manage authors to ensure quality content and alignment to approved concepts.
- Handle all feedback and enquiries about new book proposals and published titles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in all disciplines; A Master’s is preferred
- Knowledge of book publishing, including pre-press
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Well-organized, meticulous and deadline-oriented.
- Excellent command of the English Language
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Advanced knowledge of MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
